Kildonan, Silversands, Isle of Arran.

The Silversands beach is a big attraction! In Kildonan there is also a hotel, campsite and village shop, along the shore from the shop a colony of seals bask on the rocks.

A forestry walk near the church leads up to Easmor waterfall. There is a small wooden cabin with a grass roof which is an open library in the middle of the forest.

Further up the track is Loch Garbad, a small lochan stocked with brown trout. You can get a fishing permit from the Tourist board.
